Category: wall light / sconce
Year designed: 2011
Veladora was designed for use in repeat along long hall corridor spaces, stairwells and singly in areas where light is needed unobtrusively and doesn’t detract from the architecture. A plaster-in recess box, for either masonry or timber partition plaster finish with spinning perforated shade concealing lamping, all hand made in intricately crafted and finished metalwork. Veladora can be produced to custom dimensions and finishes.
The shade spins freely to adjust the light level, access and maintain the light source and this human interaction is ironically and obscurely captured in it’s name Veladora, Spanish for candle, a lighting tool reliant on human interaction.
Lamping: B15 lampholder for SES tungsten or LED
