Escala, (Spanish for scale), was designed to create harmony and balance and light a capacious but rather low ceilinged entertaining room at country house, ‘Mangerton House’ in Dorset UK. The owners were finding it difficult to solve lighting the room and Bowles and Linares saved them from resorting to down lighters by creating a shallow fixture that could elegantly reach across the room both directions from one power source.  The fixture is hand finished in negra patinaed steel or aluminium, with delicate glass shades either pearlised, left clear or ambered and looks as good on as it does off. All Bowles and Linares metalwork is crafted in house by Edgar Linares, who works with metal like a jeweller.  This design is a synergy of the craft and design skills of Bowles and Linares.

Escala is produced in two lengths as standard and in other finishes and dimensions as custom.
